Molly update

Molly turned 9 months old on sunday. Wow. I just can't believe it. She is the most precious thing. She's ALWAYS so happy, and so content. She is such a good eater, and sleeper... I honestly couldn't have asked for a better baby! She is sooo much fun, and just so funny! She's the best little sister for Cohen! :) She pulls herself up on everything, and she's everywhere in the blink of an eye! She has 6 teeth: two on the bottom, and four on the top. Monday she had her checkup...

Weight: 17.14 lbs (35%)
Height: 27.5 inches (50%)

Her doctor said she is slowing down as far as her growth... but not to worry, since she's so active, and she's pulling herself up and such... It's definently a big change from when she was first born! I thought she'd be in 12 month clothes by now at the rate she was going! She's my happy, sweet little princess!

So Monday, Jeff and I attempted to take them to get their pictures taken. We have YET to get a picture of the two of them together. Cohen absolutely REFUSES, and I mean, REFUSES to sit for a picture... or kiss molly, or hold molly, or ANYTHING. I'm not kidding. You're probably thinking, "it's probably not THAT hard to get a picture of him... " TRY ME!!!!!!!!!!!! I dare you.

Anywayyyyyyyy.... So we took them to Picture people, thinking we could get something out of it, and it wouldn't cost us hardly anything. Well, Cohen wouldn't have any of it. We tried bribing him with everything. So we just let him be, and we tried to get pictures of Molly. Well after a couple shots of Molly, Cohen decided he wanted in on the fun. He jumped him, she took ONE picture, and this is what we got:
Awesome right?!? Well first, this isn't the best quality picture, cause I took this picture with my phone of the original and emailed it to myself so i could put it on here... but this is seriously the only picture we had to choose from of the two of them, and it actually turned out! So yes, it's official... COHEN AND MOLLY ARE BROTHER AND SISTER!!!! :) We finally have proof!!! ha ha!

Here are just some recent pics of Miss Molly. Oh I just love this girl of mine!!!

Dear Cohen & Molly...

Oh, why you look so sad?
tears are in your eyes
Come on and come to me now.
Don't be ashamed to cry
Let me see you through
'Cause I've seen the dark side too.
When the night falls on you
You don't know what to do
Nothing you confess
could make me love you less
I'll stand by you
Won't let nobody hurt you
I'll stand by you
So, if you're mad, get mad
Don't hold it all inside
Come on and talk to me now
Hey, what you got to hide?
I get angry too
Well I'm a lot like you
When you're standing at the crossroads
And don't know which path to choose
Let me come along
'Cause even if you're wrong
I'll stand by you
Won't let nobody hurt you
I'll stand by you
Take me in into your darkest hour
And I'll never desert you
I'll stand by you
And when, when the night falls on you baby
You're feeling all alone
You won't be on your own
I'll stand by you
While I was on the Max, on my way home from school today, this song came on my iPod. Instantly I thought of you two. These words are so true. I love you both so much. Each one of you holds a special place in my heart. I miss you so much while I'm at school.

Just know that I would do anything for you.

Love,
your mom

a new start...

Sooooooooooooooo..................... Haven't been around here lately! I honestly feel, like if I get behind at all on my blog, then I throw my hands up in the air, and give up. Thinking that I have like 15 posts I need to add, just gets a little overwhelming. So I decided to just ignore those 15 posts that i would like to add, and just add them later. Start fresh.

So, HAPPY NEW YEAR! This month has been INSANE. Just crazy. It's only 24 days into the new year, and so many things have happened. First, obviously, the new year began.... Which brings new thoughts of resolutions, goals, what have you.... The greatest thing of the year already happened. Yep! My birthday! :) My birthday was January 2nd. and I'm now 28 years of age. Wow. actually typing that out makes me feel so old! Also something else that has happened, is I have started school! Yeppers. tomorrow is the start of week three! I am attending The Aveda institute for esthetics! I still can't believe I'm going to school. And I can't believe that I get to have facials and massages all day long! :) It's full time... Tuesday through Saturday 10-6! Just crazy. But it is so rewarding, and makes me so happy that I'm doing something for me. And something to better my family in the long run. The good thing is that it's only 4 months long. So it will be over before we know it!

Mollykins is now 8 months old. She has graduated from the army crawl to actually crawling on her hands and knees! She is pulling herself up to standing, (which I was later informed that she has been doing it for a while, but seeing as I'm in school all day... ) she chatters non stop, and is everywhere! She's doing sooo good with her new schedule and being on solids. She's just a champ! I love her so much! She is soooooo sweet, and so funny! Ahh.... she's the best!

Cohen buns is 2 1/2. what do I say about him.... Wow, he is full of energy ALL the time!! He surprises me everyday with new words, or new dance moves. He loves to sing! He knows the Bob The Builder theme song, Popcorn popping, I am a child of God, and the monkey and alligator song! It's so cute hearing him sing. I try to get the songs on video... but I'm not having the best of luck! He knows his colors, and can repeat the alphabet... It just amazes me how quickly he picks up things. His favorite animal is a hippo. Not sure why, really. He's just so funny, and so full of life. He definitely keeps us on our toes! And he is the best big brother! He is so sweet to Molly, and makes sure she has a toy to play with. They just started taking baths together... so now everytime I tell him it's bath time, he won't get in, unless Molly gets in! I love him to pieces.

Jeff just started a new job at NetBiz, an Internet marketing company, doing sales. He likes it so far. I think he's just happy getting back in the real world. He's been stay-at-home dad for the past two weeks, which has been awesome... so it will be weird to have him at work now! Other than that, he's been enjoying watching sports, and can't wait for the spring (or nicer weather) to start golfing!

Well here's to a new year, and a new start! Let's hope I can keep this up at least once a week! :)

30 Days of Being Thankful: Day 23

Today I finished reading a book. I haven't been able to say that in probably 6 years. I hate reading. I would much rather watch TV, read a magazine, watch a movie... anything. But I decided to read a certain book, and I did it! I finished it in one weekend! The book you ask? What a wonderful book! I am thankful that I decided to read this, I'm thankful that there are books out there like this, and i"m thankful I finished it! This book is sure brilliance! I don't care if you think you have the most perfect relationship, this book is amazing! Jeff's in the process of reading it too! I HIGHLY recommend it.

30 Days of Being Thankful: Day 22

I am very thankful to Little Clippers... the haircutting place i took Cohen to today. When we lived in Utah, we went to a kid's hair cutting place that we LOVED. We saw the same lady every 5 weeks. It was wonderful. At first it wasn't, and usually at the beginning of the cut, he would freak out. but after a minute, he was fine. Then we moved here, and had no idea where to go. I googled Kid's hair cutting places... and found a couple. The closest one was in West Linn. So we checked it out. I made the appointment, and warned them of Cohen. They assured me that they deal with it everyday, and it was no big deal. Well it was a very cute place... very girly though. It was more of a little girl's boutique than a kid's place. The lady that cut Cohen's hair was awful. She kinda made me feel bad for having a kid that wouldn't sit still. It really irritated me. And it was pretty expensive. I didn't even like the cut either. BOOO! I wouldn't recommend that place ever.

So today, we decided to try the next closest one in Lake Oswego. When we pulled up, I thought, "this is more like it!!" It was AWESOME! yes, Cohen freaked out, but the lady was sooooo nice about it. she called herself "Grandma Nancy!" sooo cute! After just a minute, Cohen calmed down, and did an awesome job! I just loved it! So i am very grateful we have found Cohen's new salon! Yipppeeeee!!!!
